The cost of searching the Sacramento Superior Court records help reimburse the court for electronic record keeping. However, you’re able to view the files of a court case you’re part of if you have an approved fee waiver.
With an approved fee waiver, you’ll need to appear in court to view the document. If you’re unable to gain an approved fee waiver or want to view another case similar to yours, you’ll need to pay for any searches and downloads. The following are the cost for name searches in the Sacramento Superior Court system:
- $1 for one name search
- $3.50 for five name searches
- $25 for seventy-five name searches
- $250 for thirty consecutive days of unlimited name searches
- $2,500 for 365 consecutive days of unlimited name searches
There are also costs for viewing and downloading copies of court cases. For the first five pages of a document, you’ll pay $1 per page. There is a fee of $0.40 per page for each additional page you view. $40 is the maximum amount of charges you’ll receive for each document.
How Do You Search for Your Case?
If you do not have a case number, you can research the criminal court records on the Sacramento court’s public access site. However, there is a small fee for each name search. You can also search the same documents in person at no additional cost. The option to submit a local criminal record search request/response form is also available in person or by mail. Each request will cost $15.
