Hiring the Right Personal Injury Lawyer
It’s no secret that most personal injury lawyers work on a contingency fee basis, and charge roughly the same rate. How do you know which one to hire? Anyone can tell you they are great, and anyone can list dollar amounts from cases they have settled. And, yes, we would be remiss if we didn’t list some of our excellent results- but the smart consumer will still have questions, so we want to provide additional information that will help you in your decision regarding hiring the right personal injury lawyer, because it may be the most important financial decision you make in your life. Call now and speak to our personal injury specialist attorneys Hendrick Crowell or Daniel Tenenbaum at 916-303-2800 for a free evaluation.

Four Points to Consider When Hiring an Injury Lawyer
1) Reputation
What are others saying about your prospective lawyer and their firm? Is your attorney visible online because of huge dollar spends on advertising, or because they are being spoken highly of on the various (free) review sites and blogs? At Crowell Law Offices we have built our firm on the referrals and reviews from happy clients. It’s not a fluke- when you give a good service and get great results, people are genuinely happy and will tell others about you.
2) Experience
How often is your attorney in court? How many years have they been working plaintiff personal injury cases? We have 19 years experience in handling personal injury cases, and our of counsel attorneys add decades more experience. But more important than the number of years, our firm owner Hendrick Crowell, II, (National Trial Lawyers Top 100 for 2014) has been in court just about every day for the past 15 years. While many attorneys rarely see the inside of a courtroom, we have the experience and reputation as fighters inside the courtroom, and common sense will tell you that a fighter who can take an opponent to task is the attorney who will achieve the highest dollar value on a particular case. With that being said, most cases actually resolve without litigation, but the ability to fight inside court is what can make the difference between a fair offer and a “nuisance value” offer.
3) Ethics
Is your attorney trustworthy and credible? We’ve all heard bad lawyer stories (and jokes), but the reality is that you need an attorney you can trust, and who proves their trustworthiness in their actions. The actions we take on your behalf are evident not only by our reputation, but also in writing: We will never take more than our client gets, we will work on reducing your medical bills so you get a higher recovery, and we will have an attorney available for you to answer your questions.
4) The Black and White
When the rubber hits the road, what is your attorney doing for you that others might not? The most important point is that we actually care about the results we get, but a few other big items that deserve attention are:
A) We will never charge you up front for any costs.
B) We will never bill you outside of the recovery/settlement.
C) We will never receive more than you in the settlement.
D) We will have an attorney available to speak with you at your request.
